Doctor Who?

Before Nemoy rewrote part of the script for Star Trek 5 Spock and McCoy were in the group that turned on Kirk.

That movie could have been even worse.

Here are some more from Cracked. Though these are early versions of movies.

It makes you appreciate script re-writes.  :)

No that isn't how it happened according to what I read.

What happened was Joel wanted to make Batman year one but the studio didn't want a reboot at that point so they said no to that, but the nipples and the neon were all Joel's idea.

To be far to him in Batman Forever it seemed to work work that mvoie did make a lot of money and it got better reviews then Burton's two movies.

Not sure how it happened but he seemed to be in touch with what people wanted to see in 1995.

Nope. Wrong again.

How does that prove what was well received in 1995?  By now the voting on a site that didn't even exist at the time has been clouded by the fact that both Schumaker movies are lumped together, and that tastes have changed considerably.  Not that you should put that much stock in internet ratings anyway.

On another note, according to what I've read of it the next Schumaker Batman movie would have involved Scarecrow, a resurected Joker, and Harley Quinn...kinda glad we didn't see a Schumaker take on these characters, especially Harley.

The more recent a film is, the more likely that most reviews of that film will be available.

And, no, I am not putting stock in Internet ratings. But there is still no proof that Batman Forever got "better reviews" than Burton's movies.

I don't think it got better reviews either, though I do think it made more box office than Batman Returns thanks to it being the more "kid friendly" Batman film that parents were demanding after the Burton films.

Doctor Who?

Look all i know is that quiet a few reviews at the time called it the best batman movie yet and it made more money that is what i was basing that statement on.

I don't spend my whole life on RT.

Doctor Who?

I know that.

But i also know that it was pretty well liked the summer it came out for some reason, that is all i was trying to point out.

Forever wasn't the out and out failure that batman and Robin was, that is was sadly batman and Robin got made.

A few reviews do not denote the majority of critical opinion.

Doctor Who?

Sorry but i don't have all day to check out RT.com.

Also it did make more money then Returns and while my parents wouldn't let me see it when it first came out all the kids thought it was great.

Look all I was trying to point out was that Forever was not a complete failure.
