I'm sad Paprika didn't get a best animated film nom that year. What was up that year? Happy Feet? Monster House? Fucking Cars? Yeah, that sucks.

One thing that bugs me is the robot eating the heroine. I mean, there' s no reason for it. Every other example of devouring/consumption in the film is a hostile action, something of controlling, overtaking, and destroying. Also, if somebody went and ate me, I definately would not go up and help him out of a tight bind in my giantess ghosty form. I'd be like "Screw you, you ate me you big dickweed!" *Ghost kick*

The Academy doesn't want to recognize any animated film above a PG rating.

I'm irked that my DVD has oodles of special features, preview, commentary, interviews, making of featurettes, but it does NOT contain the theatrical trailer.


X_X seriously dude, what gives? I mean it's not that hard to include it, and Paprika probably the most awesome trailer-material I have seen in a long while. Sure I can browse it up on youtube or at the website, but it would be nice to have it on the screen there, whenever I pop in the DVD.

Is it possible to nominate a foreign film for that award? I thought it was an america-only thing, like the world baseball playoffs.

Haven't seen this yet but I'm still kind of mad that Persepolis didn't win last year. At least it got a nomination.
