Boy, people love to give you guys crap no matter what movie you pick, don't they?

I think they have a thick skin about it. Besides, money speaks louder than forum posts by the rabid fanatic minority.

I don't think its that we are giving them crap. I don't sense that in the replies. I think its just fans asking them to validate the choice.

Conor validated the choice and at least I can say I am satisfied with the answer.

And yes money does speak louder then words. I did my darnedest to try and track down a copy of this in Canada so I can watch it the day its released.

I love this one. Nestor was one of the cutest bits of claymation I'd ever seen as a kid, and I was a big Rankin Bass fan. Still am, Rankin Bass is corny, corny stuff, and that's fun stuff to watch by itself. My dad used to get them on tape from a cousin in New York (I don't think they show them here, a pity really, there's not near enough silly corny children's television here). It'll be real cool to see it riffed.

See, I'm not the only one that refers to it as claymation.  That 20 question clue was crap.

More than one person can be wrong. The Rankin/Bass films are not claymation. Here is one definition:

QuoteClay animation is one of many forms of stop motion animation; specifically, it is the form where each animated piece, either character or background, is "deformable". via a malleable substance, usually plasticine clay.

The rankin/bass puppets aren't "deformable" or a malleable substance. Hence asking if it was claymation was wrong.

In a way it's like bit torrent comment fields...  the number of downloads mean more than any of the comments

I'm curious to see where/how they do the "pause your rifftrax" part. As there are no titles 'till about 2mins 30 seconds in.

I'm sure they figure it out though...

Is there going to be a preview up at some point for this one?

I was thinking maybe Mike just wanted a break and decided to go for a shorter flick.

bingo

So is it also reasonable to expect that, after Nestor is released, the Rifftrax staff will be taking a much deserved holiday break and return in early January with news of the next Rifftrax release?  If so, then let me be the first to say Happy Holidays to everyone at Rifftrax.  Enjoy the vacation and I look forward to seeing what 2007 will bring for Rifftrax.

I would say that is entirely unreasonable.

This is good news for us, I guess.  Does this mean the holidays won't mean a longer than normal break in the release of Rifftrax over the next month?  I still would like to see you all get to take the holidays off.  You have put out so many Rifftrax over the last several months that you more than deserve the break.

It would not be completely unexpected for there to be a "break" from the regular Rifftrax release schedule during the holidays.  I'm sure that most people here would understand and even welcome the break, as there are many other distractions over the holidays.  You gave us our Christmas present, "Nestor".  I'm sure that everybody would understand if you were to go on hiatus until mid-January.

Happy holidays anyway!   ;D

Whoa whoa whoa - Mike is NOT a slavedriver *glances over shoulder cautiously checking to make sure Mike isn't there....*

I mean sure, maybe he makes us pay all the tabs. And sure, maybe he makes us buy all the movies he wants to riff. And sure, maybe he makes us brew the coffee in the morning then drinks it all himself..... but I mean... He's really a cool guy....really....
