perhaps we should have a clarification, I'm under the assumption that claymation is the same as stop-motion

A Nightmare before Christmas = Stop-Motion NOT Claymation

Gumby = Claymation

Ninjas don't kill people, Pat Morita playing a ninja kills people.

Was it released before 1970?

NO

10.  Halfway there.

I think that nixes Rudolph.

It does (1964).  It nixes most of the classics, though it does leave The Year Without a Santa Claus (1974).  Also, Santa Claus is Comin' to Town (1970), and 'Twas the Night Before Christmas (1974).

Sorry for the guess already, but with it being Rankin/Bass from the 70's it is already narrowed down well enough.  This one is feature length so makes for a more likely Rifftrax.

Is it Rudolph & Frosty's Christmas in July ?
No article.  There has to be an article.

It's either The Year Without a Santa Claus or 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.  And as the former is an hour long, and features the undeniably awesome Heat and Cold Miser songs, I'd go with that one.

This is stop motion!!

Exactly. We have established it is Rankin/Bass (stop motion) which is NOT claymation.
