The Thoughtenings

[RoninFox]

Something occurred to me on the 3rd viewing.

After the group in the town of Princeton are affected by the toxin, the one guy drives the car full speed into a tree and flies through the windshield.  After that, Leguizamo walks around behind the car and grabs some shattered glass and slits his wrists with it.

Where did that shattered glass come from?  After crashing into the tree and sending a guy flying through the windshield, all the glass should have been IN FRONT OF the car, around the tree.  How did it get 5 feet behind it?

A very "Encyclopedia Brown" observation there, and it's correct.  With that, the credibility of this film is ruined.

I'm still wondering how the crash killed everyone in the car except him. I realize the front seat passengers are probably gone (or maybe just wounded. And if that's the case, would their reaction be to just lie there and try and bleed out as fast as they can, or would they try and hobble up to find a quicker way to go?), and he slit himself with some random, magically-appearing glass, but what of everyone else?

[Tyrant]

Finally got around to watching this thing. Wow. Kind of creepy in parts, but very silly mostly. I don't have issues with a nuerotoxin being able to make a person commit suicide, but I do have trouble believing that it allows a person to retain enough intelligence to 1) purposefully annoy lions to get them to eat you, 2) crank up a lawn mower and then lay in its path and 3) operate a gun. The folks walking off buildings and the lady who kept slamming her head into her house and windows was, I think, a bit more realistic. But hell, the whole movie was pretty stupid.

The riffing was okay. Not the best, but I'm willing to admit that it's been a while since we've seen a riff and this was just a warm up exercise for better things ahead.

I didn't know riff watching took so much effort. I didn't care for X2 very much but maybe I just failed to stretch properly.
