The tie-ins got great in the '80s though, woo Atari Force!

And they've recently done a Man-Thing move...

The think Heroes for Hire would make a good TV series.  Kinda like the A-Team crossed with Heroes.   :)

Weren't the Heroes for Hire primarily Power Man and Iron Fist?  I only vaguely remember that one.

It was just those two in the 70s, but they relaunched the series about 10 years back and had a rotating cast with the two main guys.

Without cheating (yet), I remembered a few others:

Black Widow, Howard the Duck, Dazzler, Adventure into Fear, and Chamber of Darkness.

1970's Marvel means three things to me:  1) Phasing out the Westerns and WWII titles for horror; 2) Anthology titles like Marvel Spotlight; and 3) Virtually every popular secondary character got their own title, at least for a little while.

Still successfully resisting the urge to cheat:

Ka-Zar, Red Sonja, Kull the Conqueror, Tomb of Dracula, Savage Tales, and Astonishing Tales (as opposed to Tales to Astonish, which was early 60s and mostly Ant-Man or Human Torch stories).

I bet I'm going to kick myself when I finally look up all of the ones I missed.  Some I didn't list because they are really more late '60s, like Capt. Savage and His Fighting Leathernecks.  (All of the ones I have are from the '70s, but it pre-dates that time under other titles.)

How did I forget these?

Ghost Rider and Son of Satan.

ROM: Space Knight

I had that doll/action figure.

Damn lights wouldn't work in it or the others they had in the store...so I got my money back.

But I still have the Alien figure (in the box!)   :D

OK.  I officially broke down and looked it up.

So technically, ROM was a 1970's title.

I had both of those toys also.  ROM worked for about a year, then he crapped out on me.

I am looking at all of the '70s Marvel titles I missed right now.  I can't believe some of the easy ones I forgot, like regular old Power Man, The Angel, and Deadly Hands of Kung Fu.  I knew I had missed some of the anthology titles, but I had forgotten the sheer number that Jim Shooter had released in the 1970s.

By the way, regarding Thor- I was walking by the magazine rack at the grocery store, and I see a Wizard Magazine cover declaring Thor the next big thing for Marvel.

... the hell? They haven't managed to keep a steady series going for Thor in decades, and they're acting all optimistic? What's changed sinse the last failed attempt?

Most likely, Wizard Magazine bought up a shitload of Thor #1, and plans to sell them on QVC.

Doctor Who?

I don't know anything about Thor and I have never read one of his comics but  with the exception of WWW I have liked everything Branagh has done so I will be there on day one to see how this turns out.
