Maybe, in tradition with the "religious artifacts and the quest for knowledge only lead to horrible death and madness at the hands of unknown uber-powers" theme of the Indy movies, the next one will have Indiana Jones and Cthulhu. ^_^

See that one I would watch, but then I dig that sort of thing and Lucas would just make it all craptacular.

Nick

An Indiana Jones and Cthulu crossover would be all sorts of win.  :)
Killing me won't bring back your Goddamned honey!

Just watch Lucas want to cast Ahmed Best as Cthulu.

There's that craptacularness.

Though I think it could work very well in the right hands, not Lucas'.

A climatic scene in Y'ha-nthlei or at least Innsmouth. Yeah it'd fairly rock

Doctor Who?

Would the backing track be an update of the 2 Live Crew classic, "Meesa Horny"? :D

yes and that scene would be fallowed by four Jerferson's Starship music videos.

Doctor Who?

I kind of dont mind Shia either.    He kind of grows on you and seems likeable.

However, the animation for the new Star Wars movie looks bad to me.    I am sure that Ralph Bakshi is wondering why crap like that is being made and he cannot get a movie green lighted.

Maybe the people doing the greenlighting saw his Lord of the Rings.

QuoteLabeouf May Never Recover From Car Crash

2 August 2008 7:01 AM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Latest: Shia Labeouf has a chance of never recovering from the injuries he sustained in a car crash, according to his attorney.

The actor was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last week after his truck flipped across a road and collided with another vehicle in Hollywood.

He was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and suffered serious hand injuries in the smash, which have disrupted shooting on his new movie Transformers 2.

The 22-year-old's attorney Michael Norris reveals Labeouf's hand is "crushed" and runs the risk of infection.

Norris tells People.com, "The force of (the) impact immediately flipped Shia's vehicle over, and, as a result, Shia's left hand was crushed.

"Shia underwent four hours of surgery on Sunday and has been recovering since then. His doctors remain hopeful that he will fully recover, but due to extensive surgery and the nature of the injuries, there remains a substantial risk of both infection and other complications."

No, Lord of the Rings encourages people to greenlight things.
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

Yeah have to side with Isaac here, I liked Bakshi's LOTR

Ok and, as often happens, the Lovecraftian ID5 idea percolated a bit.

It'd really work because we could also bring in Atlantis, you see the legends are sort of true, except the Atlanteans weren't really human but rather Deep Ones.

Yeah I need to work on it a bit but I think it'd be eminently filmable.  :)

Junkyard

Yeah, but could Indiana Jones do an underwater movie? How would they fit that hat under his diving helmet?

Tripe

Ah yes true on that point so obviously we'd have to only make it a bit Lovecraftian  add a reduced strain of Lucas Toxin the the script or something.

Just do like they did with the moon farmer on Futurama, and have his hat on the OUTSIDE of the diving helmet. :)
