I've only been out to the Family Arena a couple times, I don't have much memory of what's around there... I kinda avoid St. Charles, I'm a South County kind of guy  ;)

Yaaaaay they're finally releasing Wasp Woman.  It's an early birthday present for me-- two weeks early.  I thought about going to the St. Louis show instead of the Minnesota one, but I already have my ticket and it's a good seat and there's no one else to drive up with me so I might as well just bus to Minneapolis as I previously intended to do.

If I had to do my teens all over again, I still would have had no drivers license and still would have memorized bad movies.  Every Turkey Day was well spent as is.

BTW, TeamRAD, Sicgirl, and I are planning on heading to Gameworks before and/or after the Minneapolis live show for some bowling, gaming, and all around fun.  Would you care to join us?
Imrahil: Don't care about Riding with Death.

Bob: Turkey.

Action Batch:  Woah, let's all mellow out and rap about this.

I've only watched half of it so far, but it's really good. Looks to be the funniest one yet.

It's very odd watching them riff a movie I've become quite intimate with.

I decided to look up the imdb profile of Susan Cabot and I thought their ad at the bottom was in inadvertent poor taste.

Maybe they thought if the family had gone on more vacations her son wouldn't have bludgeoned her to death. Who knows?

They came out swinging this time, really funny stuff for the first half hour, they couldn't keep up that pace for the whole movie but it was still very good.

The interaction between them was also much better in this one.

Only weak areas were the 2 skits, Mary Jo's board meeting was OK, but I didn't think Frank's skit was very funny at all, both seemed to fall apart fast.

I've seen stuff like that a lot. For example, I was reading about a girl whose head was decapitated by her own seatbelt, and there was an advertising on the bottom offering pearl necklaces.

Those ads are semi randomly generated, I get different ads that that, looks like they are using your IP address to get your location and then generate the ads, for example I get an ad for the Baltimore aquarium on that page.  They also change some of them each time you load the page.

Just watched WASP WOMAN (not "the Martha Stewart Story").

I agree the riffing started strong.  But the movie itself so drab and tedious, that it kind of dragged things down for me, before the midway point.  Much of the running time is devoted to bland people talking in a gray office environment.  Susan Cabot's matinee idol looks (Liz Taylor crossed with 24's Reiko Aylesworth) helped a little.  But Roger Corman did not break the bank making this one, filming in a boring space (observing the file cabinets, Josh quips, "I could fit that entire office on my iPhone") and relying entirely on cheesey musical cues to indicate whatever it is the audience should be experiencing.

Favorite riffs for me once again involved the body.

"Why build a porch when you can just screen-in your head?"
"That's the same file she uses on her adam's apple."

That second one by Josh was so rude, it cut through the drabness of the pic.

So WASP WOMAN was okay, but as for the "aging-woman-finds-secret-to-restoring-youth-with-tragic-consequences-in-a-movie-with-a-two-word-title-consisting-of-the-name-of-an-animal-followed-by-WOMAN," genre, I'd go with Colleen Gray in LEECH WOMAN.   At least the studio dug through the stock footage bin, so we could visit Africa that time out.  It also had that unforgettable dash of pineal juice.

I loved it and even enjoyed the movie in that it was such a beautiful archetype of what it was supposed to be. The story was just SO cliche that I could see every twist and turn coming a mile a way. Did NOT see the rediculous wasp costume coming. That cracked me up every time. The riffing itself was wonderful and the interplay is getting richer. "You.. don't read the internet much, do you?" Loved it. Looking forward to the next (And will be for a while, I'm sure. :^))

Hmm. I'm going through a bit of a financial low-point, so I'll wait until there's more feedback before putting out $15 + shippage and handling on the line.

Was there a signed sillouette with it? If so, was it still Trace or another riffer?

After posting that I realized that it's unlikely anyone has their copy this early. I'll just wait until it gets mailed to me and be surprised.

I'll give my 2 cents. A very good effort. Their riffs felt much more natural. It felt like a MSTK episode to me (isn't that what we want?).

Highly recommended! After the first CT episode, I was hesitant to plunk down money into their next efforts.... but after Wasp Woman... I look forward to more.
