This seems doable; it depends heavily on atmosphere, with a lot of silence and stupid shots (why hello forty five second long hold on Willis ass, nice to see you for the fifth time this movie,) and at the bottom is cheesy as hell (come on, his weakness is water? Why does that sound both retarded and extremely familiar?)

Actually, just about any shamalamanaan movies would probably work, but I especially hated this one.

There's just so much nothing going on in this movie, that there would be plenty of time for the Riffer(s) to just have a pleasant conversation about anything while the movie plods on with its nothingness.

It could work.  ;)

Shinigami

As far as Shyamalamadingdong movies go, I would either vote for Signs or the Village.

The Village because it was so unbelievably dull and poorly executed.  Cut from horribly executed scary scene to a horribly executed dramatic slo-mo running into cellar? WTF!?!?!?!!?!!

I would also vote Signs so that Mike and Kevin could show people how bad of a movie it really is.

Unbreakable was where Shyamalan completely indulged in his "I can do awesome things with the camera--watch!  WATCH, I say!" tendencies.  And, you can really tell Shyamalan thought the camera trickery that he shot was going to launch him into league with Hitchcock as the scenes play out.  For example, when, at the beginning, Bruce Willis is on the train talking to the girl in the seat next to him, and the camera takes the point of view of the kid from the seat in front of him looking back...and forth...and back...and forth...and back...and forth...between them as they talk, if you listen really closely, with each pivot of the POV camera, you can actually HEAR a whispering voice of Shyamalan's thoughts, saying, "Oh yes.  Yes.  People will disect this scene in college film courses for YEARS.  They will mention the brilliance of showing it from the kid's point of view!  I'M A GIGANTIC BRAIN!"

Apparently in my made up fantasy world, M. Night Shyamalan is a fan of Futurama.  And good on him!

Anyway, I didn't like Unbreakable.  I felt it predictable and rather than end, it just stopped.  Shyamalan does have a fair degree of talent as a director, when he dials it back a bit.  He really could stand to film somebody else's screenplay, though.

I'm with Shinigami, it's either Signs or the Village. Personally, I would pick Signs as it seems like it would be better suited to riffing. (Also, I fell asleep during my only attempt to watch the Village and I don't want to ever try and watch it again.)

hahaha! nice one.

i actually like all of his movies, but one of them is DYING to be riffed.
i vote for sixth sense just because it's the best known shamalama movie.

I love shyamalan's movies, I love them a lot,

But if any of them would be riffed, I would still laugh, because it would still be funny. Why would I laugh at a movie that I admire, a movie that I seriously consider to be good and entertaining?

Because that's just the way I am, besides, I don't enjoy being angry.

I love shyamalan as a director, writer, cinematographicagor and filmmaker, But some scenes in his movies still make me laugh. For fans of shyamalan's movies, or for people who want to see him direct someone else's story, rumor has it that he's going to direct Life of Pi, based on the book of the same name. It's about an Indian boy who has to survive on a lifeboat with a hyena, an orangutan, a wounded zebra, and a fully-grown bengal tiger. (though on the synopsis it'll tell you it's just him and the tiger...the other animals don't last very long.)

If he does this movie it means he won't be doing a movie he built from the ground up (more or less) and it also means he'll get a chance to turn a good book into a good movie. If he does direct it, I hope he'll at least change some of the "total downer" portions of the original story, and make it a tad more uplifting.

o/~ Oh, my darling.  It's unshakable
That a riff could be so unbreakable.
      Unmistakable
      My Unbreakable youuuuuu. o/~

Unbreakable as a RiffTrax would have the same problem as Halloween, only doubly so because it's not as goofy and it's so sedate.  It would just be boring.  My vote's still for Signs.
Snowhead the Blue Reindeer gave me all the presents in the world.

I loved Unbreakable. I would not like to see it riffed, not because I like it, but because there's not a whole lot of riff fodder there.

I loved and liked The Sixth Sense and Signs (respectively), and they'd make much better rifftrax candidates. Much more dialog and (potentially) goofy moments.
