I watched this film when it first came out on VHS (I think? It may have been DVD), already knowing the twist but with a few people who didn't, and didn't guess it either.

What surprised me was the film was much better than I remembered. The Riffing was great, but I found myself having to concentrate to avoid being drawn into the film so much that I mentally tuned the riffs out!

The only exception being that hideously clunky opening certificate scene. That was awful- you could have chosen almost any method of exposition and it would have been less cringeworthy- even an opening crawl! Although what with the credits being so long, you could argue we already had one of those.

Yeah. One of the worst things a filmmaker can do is have a character sit there and read something to the audiance.

... Also, if Cole is going to help all the ghosts he sees, what kind of a life is he going to lead.

For an answer, watch a few re-runs of "Ghost Whisperer."  (Which, now that I think about it, would probably be good riffing material in itself, since Rifftrax does TV shows, too.)

I imagine all the ghosts of the world learning this kid can help him and lining up so he can be an unpaid ghost therapist.

Yep, that's pretty much "Ghost Whisperer."  That and the sickeningly repetitive reconcile-then-go-into-the-light scenes at the end of almost every episode.

I was disappointed we didn't get a Mr. Bungles reference in the girls bedroom with all the marionettes and the scene in the tape the father watched.

I was hoping that as the father was watching the tape that Kevin or Bill would say something derogatory about guys who waste their lives watching videos featuring puppets ...

I too appreciated the fact that they didn't beat up on the movie itself (much) but just sort of played along with it. This is my first time listening to a riff for a movie that I really really liked (there've been a few where I sort of liked the movie but didn't care that much about it), and I wasn't sure about it going in, but it paid off. Nice work!

I am amazed at how they can take such a somber, suspense-filled movie and make it Hilarious!!!

Using my review system this one did quite well in my opinion, I laughed A LOT and numbers wise it is probably easily top 15 maybe, top 10.

Very good! In fact, the best Rifftrax proper since Spider-Man 3.

I think it is an 8, from me.

It's funny, but I didn't think this one was going to be so great, but there you go.

While Cole was at the dead girl's funereal I kept thinking that it totally felt like a pilot for a TV show. Kind of like the mystery solving aspect of Pushing Daises but with more direct involvement from the dead.

I was never a big fan of the movie, but the rifftrax is quite hilarious. Totally worth shelling out the $10 to buy the movie.

I dug this one. I found the riffing very clever, almost "Jack Frost" clever and I'd rank it among my top 'trax.
