The man who took do it yourself to a who 'nother level has put his square guitar down for the last time[/url}

Quote
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Bo Diddley, a founding father of rock 'n' roll whose distinctive "shave and a haircut, two bits" rhythm and innovative guitar effects inspired legions of other musicians, died Monday after months of ill health. He was 79.

Diddley died of heart failure at his home in Archer, Fla., spokeswoman Susan Clary said. He had suffered a heart attack in August, three months after suffering a stroke while touring in Iowa. Doctors said the stroke affected his ability to speak, and he had returned to Florida to continue rehabilitation.

And here's one of his most famous songs:

Just heard the news over the radio on my way to the grocery store.  It was nice that the DJ of the cookie-cutter, Top 40 station took notice and followed it up with "Who Do You Love".  It's unfortunate though, that they waited for him to pass away before playing one of his songs.  I think I'll watch 'Let the Good Times Roll' tonight in Bo Diddley's honor.
