Uh, they're making a MO-VIE out of The Outer Limits?

And uh yeah, Pink Panther sequels are a real cash cow. Assuming the two people who saw the first one are willing to pay several million dollars per ticket.

This is a great point, I've really been turning this idea of a remake over in my head and I just don't see it as being anywhere near as funny once you take it out of the late 80s/early 90s setting.

It made 150 million dollars worldwide, making double what it cost to make.

I liked the new Pink Panther (though I didn't see it until DVD) and I'll go see the sequels.  Some remakes work for me, some just are wrong from the start.

So let me get this straight.  Absolutely every movie that has been made is now going to be remade by people who saw the original and have always dreamed of re-doing it in their own image as if they were some kind of God?

So that means originality will be replaced by re-imaging and the earth will split itself in two and I will be forced to live in a quasi-Metroid-like world filled with dark matter all because someone didn't like the pacing of Two Moon Junction.

Gladly . . . just as soon as I figure out how to take both of us out in the process.
