Fittingly enough, "Happy" by Travis
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"I Can't Decide" by Scissor Sisters appeals to the crazy person within me and makes me really ecstatic.  And since they didn't make a video for it, I used a vid that also makes me veeerrryyy happy.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"Gone" by Ben Folds. Happy-sounding songs with bittersweet lyrics really always work for me.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

In that vein, "Dog Problems" by The Format.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

And "I Love the Unknown" by Clem Snide
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

When I'm the kind of sad where I can only listen to depressing music, I go with:

"Every Little Bit" by Patty Griffin (actually anything by Patty.  She's my goddess.)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

"Into Dust" by Mazzy Star (dammit, the video won't show up.  Just download it or YouTube it.)

Annnnd my favorite song of all time, "Here Comes a Regular" by the Replacements

If I'm ever in a funk, these three songs are bound to snap me out of it...

The Good Life - Weezer
- I absolutely love this song, and the chorus alone breathes optimism into me, Shakin' booty, makin' sweet love all the night, It's time I got back to the good life.
Joanie Loves Johnny - Screeching Weasel
- take Happy Days & Screeching Weasel, place them in the proverbial blender, and allow the smile to form. It's that contagious.
Rock the Night - Europe
- it's my favorite song from the 80's, and the 80's rule...so yeah.

"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." - Einstein
