I find the topic a bit too subjective, I mean everyone has different tastes in movies.  I enjoyed Star Wars: A New Hope (the original) so much, I've seen it more than 130 times, but I can't stand Star Trek: the Motion picture.  I've met people who think the exact opposite way, and also people who think that Jim Carrey is brilliant in everything he stars in.  I think Jim Carrey was a lot funnier when he was only trying to be zany, and not doing the stories "with a message".

That being said, I think David Lynch's Dune really kicked ass.  Still have to see the newer one.

A lot of what they do is taking facts somewhat out of context to play devil's advocate without necessarily even believing what they say.

Great!  Now tell us the one about how Walt Disney was a Nazi war criminal whose diet consisted of Cuban children.

I think if we do find a movie that no one hates, it'll probably be one that one really loves, either.  Saying that though, does anyone not like the following:

Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Goonies
Aliens

?

The stuff about Mother Theresa and Gandhi are facts and not rumors like those about Disney.

Speaking of which, does anyone not like Song of the South? Now that's a great movie.

Yeah, I can't think of anything funnier than dated ethnic sterotypes.

You've never seen the movie before in your life. It's a wonderful film with a good message.

Aliens is my least favorite of all four movies. Honestly.

I still kind of liked it, though.

Most of the bad stuff that article says about Mother Teresa sounds like it was a lack of proper resources that caused her not to be able to help people as much as she wanted to, not a lack of effort or compassion, or any specific ill will against them.  And the one about Gandhi seemed to suffer from a slight case of "No one said this is not true, therefore it must be true".  Even if he was a little bit racist, who wasn't back then?  Your grandparents and great-grandparents were probably raised to be racist.  And only because their parents brought them up that way.  And their parents were brought up that way.  And so on all the way back to Homo Erectus.

Wow...that's just...yeah, I don't think I'm going to be in this conversation anymore. Good night. Keep ignoring the facts. Maybe one day you can afford the luxury of reality. ::)

Yeah, it's the most underrated sci-fi movie of all time.

The facts being that neither Ghandi nor Mother Theresa were perfect beings? Why does that cause you to behave as though they were on a level with Stalin? True, it's a bit of a revelation to realize that even the greatest people of our times had flaws, but why the hell are you being such a jerk about it?

I never went that far. I was only trying to say that these people weren't as perfect as they are often made out to be, that's all. I never made them out to be like Stalin.
