I learned that Bela's character name was Bobby (he was billed only as Ghoul Man in the credits), and that he is called Skippy by his friends.

I learned that the flight controls on a big airliner are made of plywood.

Also alien ships have the same round slide rules hanging on their walls as we have our planes, or maybe the aliens stole it from the plane?  Crafty, they are so much smarter than us....

And police cars in the 50's had retractable sirens and lights, they could be there one second and gone the next.

But I haven't learned why small alien ships have metal walls and big alien motherships have curtain walls, I guess it's because we are stupid, stupid, stupid....

I learned that Plan 9 is actually very good at helping you sleep.

I had to wait in the Dentist office today for about 90 mins and I listened to plan 9 and this rifftrax mixed on my RCA Opal player, with video. I actually fell asleep right after the movie started and woke up just as it was ending. I got a nice rest and actually felt alot better.

I learned that sunlight can "explode."  I mean, this movie gave me a whole new perspective on physics!  It turned everything I've ever learned about conservation of energy, turned it on its head, and raped it up the ass!  Ed Wood must be some kind of supergenius to come up with that kind of stupid bullshit.
