Yup, well said, Lembach's video. F*ck off, Hollylick. Not counting Rifftrax, I haven't seen a movie in-theater since 2001. Peter Jackson was the last straw. *bows*
I swore I'd never go to another theater again after I watched "Priest" in 2011. I was
that pissed off.
Just recently broke that when mom took me to Cinebarre, that theater/restaurant I posted about back on my birthday in 2014.
And okay, I just did it again last Thursday when I took my ex-wife to see "Hobbit: Battle of The Five Armies".....because...like...I love eating dinner during a flick.
Jeezus! That reminds me, here's a tally of that night's expenses:
Cab ride to and from theater - $40 each way + tips. Totaling $100.
Tickets - $27.50 (two adults)
Dinner consisting of:
2 plates Moonsticks (fried mozzarella cheese sticks (cuz I'm not fucking sharing!)) - 2 x $10.50.
1 Cineburger - $11.50
1 Bleu Velvet Burger - $12.50
1 Bladerunners (mountain o' fries) - $8.00
1 Charleston Tea - $9.00
2 Rootbeer Floats - 2 x $9.00
2 Mr. Pibbs - 2 x $5.25
No regrets. I would have paid triple and grinned the whole time for the lack of children alone.
Plus, I got laid.
