Ahhhh.... I was born and raised in North Carolina.... but I spent my formative years in Jersey.... I have a sweet spot for southerners.... and North Carolina is really pretty.... despite the trailer parks and the Jesus Saves! billboards.

I am a southern boy at heart! (without the racism or sexism.... it was a blue state until a few years ago....)

I just noticed this evening I have a frighteningly gargantuan cavity in one of my wisdom teeth. Less of a cavity, more like the side of my tooth is missing, like a building missing an outside wall.  I'm amazed it never caused me any pain. Guess I'll be using that healthcare after all...

That happened with one of my wisdom teeth about a fortnight prior to its scheduled extraction. It never hurt, just felt weird. Looking at it now I can see the missing section never expised the pulp but when it was in my mouth it felt cavernous.

Been reading stories about transgendered people and young gay men who are winning prom queen in their schools as they've been posted to Facebook.  It brings several things to mind.

Even if some of the people voting for them are doing it as a joke, the way the winners are accepting it and using it as a positive message is very inspiring.

The comments on them are a great way of knowing which of my old Facebook contacts from High School I should just kind of let go.
