According to my therapist Asbergers syndrome is being removed from the next DSM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diagnostic_and_Statistical_Manual_of_Mental_Disorders)

What I heard was that they're reclassifying Asperger's as part of the autism spectrum.

The more I read about Asberger's, the more I realize that I went to school with a lot of kids that probably had this before they recognized it as something.

The kids that we thought were "spazs" or "dweebs" (to use the vernacular of the time) may very well have had Asberger's.

What surprised me about Maroon 5 is that they didn't go completely away after their initial success.  It was like the public actually thought they were good enough for a second go round after the crap they put out on their debut.

I don't know what Maroon 5 is.  I assume it's a band, because Starman likes bands.  And he's probably right that it sucks, but since I don't have a frame of reference, I can't really agree.

I imagine "Maroon 5" refers to either a sportscar or a type of moon boot.  I don't really know why.  And both of those (a maroon sports car from the '70s, like a Lotus or something) are probably cool.  I know moon boots are.

How much cold medicine have you had?  :D

Mucinex is a disgusting name...for anything.

The other thing I learned is that I've been using the phrase "that begs the question" incorrectly my entire life.

Really? Explain.

I assume much like Train they exist so radio stations have something Coldplay-ish to play in between Coldplay albums.

Really? Explain.

It's a logical thing.  Wiki explains it well:
Quote
Begging the question (Latin petitio principii, "assuming the initial point") is a type of informal fallacy in which a proposition relies on an implicit premise within itself to establish the truth of that same proposition. In other words, it is a statement that refers to its own assertion to prove the assertion. Such arguments are essentially of the form "A is true because A is true" though rarely is such an argument stated as such. Often the premise 'A' is only one of many premises that go into proving that 'A' is true as a conclusion.

This is how I used it, which is apparently wrong:
Quote
Many English speakers use "begs the question" to mean "raises the question," "impels the question," or even "invites the question," and follow that phrase with the question raised,[17] for example, "this year's deficit is half a trillion dollars, which begs the question: how are we ever going to balance the budget?" Philosophers and many grammarians[who?] deem such usage incorrect.[18][19]

So I'll try to use "invites the question" from now on I guess.

Beautiful. I love this.

I tend to go with "it rather raises the question...."

Oh and we tried out a newly opened restaurant tonight and while it wasn't bad, it was probably a mistake to do that.

Thank you. I've totally been using it wrong as well.  :-\

So, essentially a flusterfuck.
