Today would have been my late wife's 49th birthday. Now it's just another day.
Going on 3 years since she passed from uterine sarcoma cancer. Though the pain has mostly faded, I still have frequent thoughts of her final days and afterwards. Those vivid images are still etched in my mind like it just happened.. I don't think they will ever fade from my memory

Apparently there was a huge water main break in my town and there is no running water anywhere who's on city water..
Guess I'll be taking a bath in a nearby pond

This actually affected the whole county
All schools county wide are closed the rest of the week. All restaurants were forced to close down yesterday afternoon and may not open up till water testing is complete. There is a boil water advisory in affect until further notice.
The main water line was repaired at 1am with the filtration plant coming online at 3am. Lots of air in the water lines in my house with some brown sediment in the water.
I think the county should rethink things like maybe building a few more water filtration plants instead of having the entire county rely on just one water filtration plant here in town with no backup

Overnight suddenly it got VERY cold here. Woke up this morning and DAMN temperatures were below freezing. Of course as the day went on it warmed up nicely but that's NM for you in October... one day it's warm then all of a sudden it can be cold AF.

We're still having temperatures in the 70s & 80s here but I did hear from a long time friend from high school who's a captain of the local fire dept in town that amazingly there weren't any fires during this water main break because if there was there was no way to put them out
Everything has been restored to normal and the boil water advisory has been lifted.

I hate subtitles! I think it's just because I didn't grow up having to read them, but I find it very distracting to have to read the words at the bottom of the screen and I might miss what is going on in the rest of the screen. Am I the only one who has difficulty with this?

I love subtitles and actually pay more attention to a movie when they're on.

I feel you, most of the time thankfully you can turn the damn things off... but I have noticed for quite a few titles on Amazon video that there's no controlling the subtitles.
