The only coffee I've ever had that tastes the least bit good includes a lot of chocolate.  It has to be enough chocolate to be one step away from saying "screw the coffee, just give me a hot chocolate"...and since then, that's been my course of action.

That's how my wife is. As I said, she doesn't like coffee, but she really likes the mocha from Starbucks. So do I, but it's because it puts two of my favorites, coffee and chocolate, together.

There is nothing like a customer service job to make you despise humanity.   Next time, I hope it actually is a burglar, [insert non-gender specific epithet here.]

Speaking of the decline of the human race...

Witnessed a fight at Walmart today.  Was walking by customer service as it was happening.  Woman jumped over the desk and just started wailing on the young girl.  Somebody finally pulled her off. 

If the attacked girl had defended herself she would have probably been fired.  When I worked at the same Walmart employees would talk about that.  That if you were attacked and fought back that you were fired.  That it had happened twice already.

That's the thing about Walmart.  Managers treat you like shit.  Customers treat you like shit.

But I read where Publix is actually doing better than Walmart.  Their business model is great and I love it.  None around here, but I wish there was. 

Maybe Walmart will wise up and see a better way to do business.  Probably not.

No, I bank at Woodforest, which is in Walmart.  But I haven't shopped at Walmart in months.  Decided to stop spending my money there.

This weekend I watched "The End of Time" a.k.a. The last episodes of Doctor Who with David Tennent as the Doctor.

For the past two nights it has given me Doctor Who dreams. I can't remember ever having a tv show immediately affect my dreams before. If I do dream about something from tv it's a show I've watched for ten years or more and it usually doesn't last long. Last night I had a long dream of being the Tenth Doctor trying to live as long as possible while keeping track of the Eleventh Doctor and trying to push him to be a better Time Lord.

I have no reason to believe that Matt Smith needs help playing the doctor. Thus far I've only seen a couple minutes of his acting following the regeneration. Still, right now I'm just pissed that I'm out of Tennant to watch.

Publix is OK. They have great produce, and I love their store brands, but they're about 10-20% more expensive than Kroger on average.  There are sales where they're better on certain items, but not on an everyday basis.  I also don't know about how their employee situation is; I know Kroger is unionized.

Unions pay "protesters" to picket Publix stores, posing as disgruntled employees.

Based on folks speaking well of it in the Nery Shirts thread, I went and downloaded the first series of the BBC radio series Cabin Pressure. Only listened to one episode so far, but I liked what I heard. Plenty of laughs and a palpable wall of British-ness. I look forward to listening to more.

In the future, though, I probably shouldn't have it playing on my iPod as I walk through the grocery store. Breaking out into random bursts of laughter probably weirds out those around me more than usual.

Then they're generally mobbing up and asking for pictures. Which is always fun, although it makes it hard to shop (ditto the fact that there's no place to keep my wallet).

I was just talking to folks at a meet this past weekend about that sort of thing (albeit more on the idea of how you could modify a kangaroo suit tail so that you could lean back and sit on it).

Should I ever come across a spare two grand, I'll have to consider getting one.
