So is this an offshoot of Rifftrax or does Mike run Rifftrax and Shout runs Film Crew?

They are seperate things. Though Mike works for Legend, The Film Crew are an independant group, hence why they've worked with different companies like Legend and Shout.

Any chance of cross promotion though to help both the DVD and Rifftrax? Maybe make up a Rifftrax flyer to put inside the dvd when it's released as well as promote the dvd release on the site...
In brightest day, in darkest night
No DVD shall escape their sight
Let those who tremble in bad movies light,
Beware the power, Rifftrax's might!

Or a download link to an old, free rifftrax?  Road House or Star Trek V.

I wonder if the Film Crew and RiffTrax could combine into one?
They could release rifftrax MP3z for the newer movies that are copyright and release 'all-in-one' DVD's for the older movies that are public domain or that they have the rights to.
It would be a win-win situation.

The Film Crew does have some history with Legend Films, and I read somewhere online that Mike is good friends with the owner...

The Film Crew did some intros for the Legend colorized 3 Stooges release a little while back.  Since Film Crew and Rifftrax are two seperate projects, I doubt you will ever see anything more than just informal "shout outs" on their respective websites.

As for flyers stuck in with commercial releases like the "Point Break" reissue, I'm sure that it's crazy expensive.  But who knows... :)

For something like 'Point Break' yeah it would be cos the company releasing it would want loads of money cos their greedy Hollywood bastards and they wouldn;t go for it anyway cos their stuck up (is this sounding a bit too much like a rant? cos it is to me)

Shout Factory is a small company though so i don't see them charging Legend as much as say Warner Brothers or Disney would, so it would be more likely, plus they wouldn;t be advertising to rip on their product so might be more open to it. But, like you said Taratulas, who knows...

I voted for The Wild Women of Wongo. It's the title that has the most potential, in my opinion. They're all pretty funny.
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

Ouch, April 2007?  Why the long wait?  :-[

I had to vote for Killers; the Christopher Walken line alone is worth the price of admission.  Lovely to hear Bill Corbett's voice again; he's always been my favorite.

Is Bill doing his Crow voice on the commentaries? Or is that just his "angry-about-crap-film" regular voice?  :)

Yeah it certainly sounds different then his voice that he had in Xmen and Top Gun. But then again, different recording equipment might make him sound slightly different.

I find that the equipment they use for the rifftrax recordings tend to be sensitive and pick up alot of detail.
