News on new Film Crew DVDs?
« on: September 07, 2007, 03:57:16 PM »
I know only two have come out so far (with the third on Tuesday), but I'm just wondering if anyone has heard good news about sales figures and better yet, if anyone has said anything about the Crew making some more for next year.

I think we'd all like to know the answer to this.   Perhaps Bob Honcho could furnish us with a reply in the near future...?   :)

I really enjoyed all four Film Crew episodes, particularly the hilarious "Wild Women of Wongo" with the "make the Film Crew Dance" Skit. I would love to hear if there are any new Film Crew episodes being planned soon. I really hope they do as I have enjoyed them as much as the original mst3k episodes!

According to Kevin's response in his blog yesterday...

He didn't entirely rule it out though.

Yeah, Kevin didn't really say anything more definitive than Bill had already said. Both thought it was unlikely.

I love a good mixed metaphor, don't you?

With rum or vodka?

It sucks to hear but if I had to choose between either The Film Crew or Rifftrax surviving, I'd have to go with Rifftrax.

What was Kevin referencing with "He's got Ossie Davis hair. He's dorky, kind of porky!"?

I'm gonna guess it's the song "Bette Davis Eyes"  Seems to have the same sort of rhythm.

It sucks to hear but if I had to choose between either The Film Crew or Rifftrax surviving, I'd have to go with Rifftrax.

I'd go with film crew over "some assembly required" type stuff.

I'm not a very tech savvy person. It took my several hours of struggling and experimentation to get a rifftrax file onto my mp3 player, and i still have no idea how I accomplished it or how I could repeat the attempt. Now I just play rifftrax files on my laptop. Then the further things, files that you have to hunt out and uncover in order to play, figure out how to download and use them, then try to get the two synched up (easy to start, but once you have to pause everything goes haywire because you can't unpause at the same time), is a bit beyond my means, and I find out that people are "reauthoring" DVDs, somehow creating a DVD with both trax and movie, synched perfectly, seems nothing short of magical to me.

I like the convenience of having everything you need to enjoy at my disposal just by buying a single dvd.
