Stingers?

If Independence Day had a stinger what would it be?

A couple come to mind to me.

The Welcome to Earf.  And punching the alien.

Maybe the really bad effects shot of the dog jumping out of the firestorm.

How about the frog-voiced guy in his car cringing at the approaching fireball and belching "Imonna haff ta call you back".

Basically you could show the whole movie over again as a stinger.  There are too many to pick just one.

Otherwise, a clip of the guy listening to the radio sound and suddenly banging his head.

Yes, it's a damn shame nobody in the movie said "Holy shit this movie sucks ass!", that would be the perfect stinger.

Yup. Independence Day is just a long string of possible stingers held together by the occasional explosion. I haven't watched the Riff yet, but I seem to remember an early scene of Will Smith taking a whiz that sums up the movie pretty well.

Randy Quaid flying his jet into the particle stream of the alien ship.  Kind of a reverse Slim Pickens (Dr. Strangelove).  But why isn't the jet disintegrated when it hits the particle stream?
