Stingers

Place your recommendations for Stingers here.

My nomination is the soldiers laughing under their shields as the rain of arrows are coming down.  "We will fight in the shade"

The part where Leonidus asks his soldier's occupation, and they reply "Hooo!!"

Or, Xerces putting his hands on Leo's back.

The goat headed guy at the Persian's camp

^ This.  For some reason, I found Goatman to be even more ridiculous than all the other mythic CGI beasts.
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

I just used "this...is...SPARTA!"

I think it works good as a stinger.

For once I'm doing one of the more recent Rifftrax rather than one that has been out for many months!

I suggest posting the rough times for any stingers you suggest to help make it easier to find for others.

So for those of you who already posted stingers, here's the times:

"THIS.... IS... SPARTA!" is around 12:40:22
"SPARTANS, WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION?" is around 28:20:16
The fight in the shade sequence is around 50:35:29
Another rather amusing scene is the guy prancing across the bodies at 56:08:00 (riff line is the "whee! whoopee!" if you're wondering which guy prancing around the bodies.  I mean that's basically the whole movie...)
Hands on shoulders scene is around 58:57:12
Goat boy is 1:15:49:06

I'm going to go with either "THIS... IS... SPARTA!" or the prancing guy.  Both made me laugh out loud when I watched the movie.

When the Queen stabs that traitorous political slime who looks like Mr. Tumnus

"This will not be over quickly!"

You said it, Queenie!  ;)
(p.s. she was referring to the movie)

When I sat down to watch this again last night, I noticed the sound was out of sync with the video, and the sound levels on the original audio were too low, so I had to do a fresh reauthor.  I decided to grab some stingers too.  Thanks to K1 for providing the time codes.

No problem!  I started adding times on these threads for stingers because I was finding it to be such a pain in the neck to go back and try to remember where it was in the movie.

But I haven't added them in my reauthors in awhile unfortunately.

Do you remember any other movies where you did this?  I want to do stingers for another movie, but without having to search too hard for suitable material.

I think I did it for most of the earlier ones up I did reauthors for up to 300.  (Although I skipped a few)  They would be in the Stingers thread on each sub-board.  I don't think I always mentioned the times of everyone else's suggestions though.

After suggestion people put it in there for theirs and not really seeing anyone else do it or suggest I keep doing it, I just stopped.  And now I'm not adding them in just to have the reauthor process go quicker to try and catch up on things.

I stopped doing stingers too, for the most part.  I felt like doing one for Ghost Rider, because it was a Nick Cage movie, and I like to do stingers if I have to redo an old one to correct an audio issue.  Like, if the computer is already taken apart, you might as well slap that spare hard drive in there, know what I mean?

Stingers really are the hardest part.  Technologically, extracting them is easy.  It's finding one that's hard.  For 300, I ended up using the Xerxes shoulder rub because that perfectly encapsulates the latent homo-eroticism that underpins this movie.
