I hear the drums echoing tonight
But she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation
She's coming in 12:30 flight
The moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards salvation
I stopped an old man long the way,
Hoping to find some old forgotten words or ancient melodies
He turned to me as if to say, Hurry boy, It's waiting there for you

It's gonna take a lot to take me away from you
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
I bless the rains down in Africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never have

Over and over and over...

I've got Len's "Steal My Sunshine" song stuck in my head from when I heard it in Fred Meyer a few days ago. Everyone think about that song and start suffering with me.

And I thought I couldn't hate that song any more than I already did. I guess I was wrong.

I frequently get the songs from Nightmare Before Christmas stuck in my head, but I don't complain, 'cause they're awesome. Although people look at you funny when you are mumbling "this is Halloween, Halloween, Halloween" in February.

Gah. I did this to myself.

Sadly, they're playing red Rocks next month. I'm almost tempted to go. Whoops. scratch that. Youtube got them confused with Willie Nelson's tour. I can skip that easily then.

"Look at her!"

"Oh my god, what kind of volumizer do you think she uses?"

These two broke the needle on the Lame-O-Meter.

Next time you're in church, hit your knees and thank your deity that you didn't sit there listening to it ten times in a row trying to write riffs for it. It's been a year and that fucking song still pops into my head from time to time.

"Making children cry!"
