FAN RIFFING

Good thread to post them in, although I'm particularly seeking one that contains "and now it's time for the penguin on top of your television set to explode"

Raven166 and a couple of his friends made a Fan Riff of Hollow Man, which was pretty funny.

I plan to record mine this week at some point. (I was planning to last week, but i suddenly got some severe allergies.)

I'm working on writing the 2nd half of my riff script for "Akira", and then I'll probably give it a second draft before recording.

Which dub is it based on?

The 2001 dub found on the speciel edition DVD. Though the older dub would be a whole lot easier to riff on, Netflix doesn't offer a DVD with that dub on it.

Too bad. I've got the Criterion laserdisc with that dub; I kept it after buying the DVD because of the dub.

Excellent point.

Now, how do I redeem my Nerd Points for this conversation?  :)

I'm a sad, sad individual.  I'm one of those who will riff on fanfiction, of all things.  Heck, I've made fun of a lot of the posts that were made by an admin at a Kingdom Hearts roleplaying forum.  I lack the technology (and probably the finesse, as well) to riff on movies, short films, and Youtube videos and post the results online, so all the more power to the folks behind the fan riffings.

You RIFF fanfiction? o.o

Mind if I offer to send you munnies or bear your man-children? I've got a few atrocious wg-fics that I'd like to see properly dug into mst3k style.

Hiya all I'm back! *I see everyone run for cover :'(*,
Well anyways... My brother Erik is a comedic genius. To see the movies he has directed with me and my younger brother pick one you want to watch, Or watch all of them. To watch them just scroll down and pick one...
I'm going to see if he can MST-a-size or Riff one of the 50 old B rated movies I have... Just a small portion of one to see if you guys like it. I might Riff with him if I can.

Here are some of the movies that my brother Erik Directed... They are not MST related but they are funny.

The Interview - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDnWVFq1ni0

Ron's Big Day - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-L54jL_3ekM

Mr.Brown's Big Day (Sequel) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Q9ocpx2kaQ

Barbarians - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGujEjdXPSw

Well those are them : )... Enjoy!

P.S. We're both huge MST3K fans... And we have collected around 40 MST DvDs. And we love them! Thanks Mike!.

I used to riff on Sprite comics.

Ok... The movie my brother Erik will be riffing is "The guy with secret kung fu"... Again he is hilarious... I would put him as the next host for MST3K if I were to pick. It will be uploaded in a few weeks... Hope you guys enjoy it!

P.S. Hes 33 years old... So its not going to be some stupid un-funny teenager riff... He has experience in the comedy world.

Hey guys!
I uploaded a sample of the movie me and my older brother are riffing... 'The guy with secret kung-fu'.
Keep in mind that this is the first run through of the first 32 mins of the movie... And we're doing this is ALL ad lib... So we are going to run through it a few more times... Removing the dumb jokes.. Replacing them with the spectacular jokes. This is our first riff experience... Our first ad lib experience with a movie... And my first syncing experience with our own riff... As i said... Just a sample... -Enjoy!
