MST3K Twitch Channel
« on: November 24, 2019, 12:28:50 PM »
MST3K Twitch channel went live this week. Been watching off and on all weekend. Commercial breaks feature a mix of MSTie Moments like last years Turkey Day Marathon, pre-live tour behind the screens/tour prep segments, Shout TV promos, and 2019 Turkey Day promos with tour Tom and Crow.
Yeah, we already have the Pluto TV channel, but Pluto seems to repeat the same dozen or so episodes each month and Twitch channel has been playing episodes in order only skipping episodes where the rights have expired. Today had been Season 5.

We'll see how it goes once Turkey Day is over, but they're launching with a chronological marathon of the entire first 10 seasons going right up to Turkey Day. We're currently at the point where it just keeps getting better and better. (In my opinion.)

Old Official Twitch channel on Roku finally stopped working and all of the unofficial Twitch channels keep getting taken down by Roku soon after they appear :(
Work around to watch Twitch on Roku if you have an Android phone or tablet:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instantbits.cast.webvideo

Install the "Web Video Cast" app from the Play Store or that link. Use the browser function in the app to navigate to Twitch.tv. Search for the MST3K channel.
Have to enter the ip address of your Roku the first time when you go to cast and Roku will pop up asking you if you want to install the Web Video Cast channel the first time.
