If you haven't seen John Carpenter's 'The Thing' skip this, find it and gather all your freinds so that you can watch each other jump. If you have?
get in the swing, baby. cuz it's the thing, baby.

Oh, this movie i appearing at the local theatre on Saturday.

Mmm... not bad, but it just seems to be missing something.  Oh, well, the Thing is of my all time faves.

Also, because it doesn't seem to be getting enough attention (only  lists so far?  really?), won't you please contribute to the list of top 50 movie and TV deaths.  Just compile your favourite 25 in order from fave to least and find out what to do in the signature below.

Hmm... what's something of substance I can add.  Oh, I know!  I not horror per se (well, the Birds is), but I love Hitchcock film trailers:

The only Hitchcock movie I've ever seen was The Birds, and I was bored by it.

Then you are living a poor life.  Never saw the Birds, but it is a film people seem to love or hate, but the man has made some amazing movies: Psycho, Vertigo, The Trouble With Harry (a very funny romantic comedy, centered around a corpse), Rear Window.  You are missing out, my friend.

I liked The Birds and Psycho, but I found Rear Window as boring as mud.

FrightTown 2011 - An Invitation

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/qBQG9oZ7qcY" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/qBQG9oZ7qcY</a>

If any of you are in Portland, Oregon - or are willing to travel to Portland, Oregon - I humbly invite you to FrightTown. 3 houses for one ticket price (which I think is, like, $15). The Museum of Horrors even has a Black & White Hall featuring many favourite friends from MST3K! I'll be in The Black Box, making people hug each other in human chains out of pure terror (oh my god, that was fun last night...)

I especially extend this invitation to the Rifftrax crew themselves. It would be awesome if I could get Kevin, Mike or Bill screaming in terror. Also, I think they'd enjoy looking at the wonderful set design of all 3 houses.  :P

John Lithgow's reading of the monkey's paw is very entertaining. But, his reading of the Wonderful one hoss shay and it's relation to his granmother is both touching and a little ominous

I just can't seem to get the crazy eyes, or big enough fake horse teeth to make it work, though.

This has become a long thread and I am not being able to keep track of the things that are happening over here. Even the ones that are commenting on here seem to have forgotten the original topic now.
