Krull! Alright. About time they did a Liam Neeson movie. And with Robbie Coltrane to boot, it's sure to be great. They are actors that always deliver.

Oh, wait, they were just background guys. Ken Marshall was the lead. I wonder if the casting director ever drinks himself stupid on missing the actual talent on hand and pushing the lack of talent instead. (And yes, I saw Krull both in the theater, and then later in life when I recognized the pair.)

As a side note, Liam and Captain Picard himself were in full plate swinging axes and swords in Excaliber. Funny how some secondary actors in major films go on to outshine the flash in the pan leads that get the big parts.

Side note to your Excaliberian side note: You're certainly right, often true, but true for Excaliber insofar as the guy who played Arthur is concerned. Helen Mirren is no flash in a pan. And neither was Nicol Williamson who did some other good work albeit mostly on stage (he was considered one of the best ever Hamlet's in England). He was really amazing in a 1969 film titled Inadmissible Evidence, an intense portrayal  of a misanthrope's breakdown.

Yikes, Forgot about Mirren. Shameful of me. Williamson is an outstanding actor, but never hit the big time like the other 3. Still loved him in an old Columbo back in the day. Only other thing I saw the lead from Excaliber in was an episode of Dr. Who. Tennet version I think.

And we're almost at the success  mark. Want to see the stretch goals which I'm sure the have lined up.

Stretch Goals!!! Bet $1 and you'll be likely to get back more than you've given to Rifftrax! This is such a good deal it makes bargains look like ripoffs! Someone alert Retro Muppet Pastor about this!

Since I couldn't find this thread earlier, I made a dedicated 2018 RiffTrax KickStarter thread here:

One of the VIPs for Space Mutiny just became available again. Just in case anyone was feeling down for not jumping on it in time, here's a second bite at the apple. And no, I don't mean the terrible musical 'The Apple' which was already riffed

They just added some new backer-based stretch goals, including Kevin riffing Space Mutiny as Space Santa and Ready Player One and Solo: A Star Wars Story Just the Jokes riffs.

With "It's a Wonderful Life" as the 10,000 backers goal again. Maybe this time?

That's the one I really want, but I doubt it will get that high.

Hopefully they'll still riff all those movies even if they don't get it.
I survived the San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hall H stabbing.

Presumably at least Solo is a sure thing since the Star Wars stuff are big sellers.

And now there's a VIP for Krull available as well. It's definitlely keeping that Talking Cat goal just out of reach.

Well it's in reach now.

At the current pace the Han Solo riff should be unlocked as well.

The last day of any kickstarter is usually the second highest so there should be 700+ backers to reach the 9000 required.
