Wallpaper Engine (animated wallpapers)
« on: January 07, 2017, 04:48:58 PM »
Couple months ago I had purchased a program that let me have a video wallpaper on windows 10, because I wanted this to be my wallpaper (well, a better version of it anyway, with no text or music.)

It worked, I was happy.  But then today I was made aware of Wallpaper Engine, a app in early access on Steam.  It's only $4 at the moment, and you have access to a ton of free community made content through the Steam Workshop.  There are even interactive wallpapers.  I currently have rain drops falling on a window on my left, and a city scene from Star Citizen on my main monitor.

When you full screen a program, the video stops playing, so you don't have to worry about it hogging resources.  Oh, and I uploaded that Plasma Rain video to the workshop.  You can find it here:

So far 11 people have downloaded it.  Pretty happy about that.  Anyway, the program is worth checking out.
