And they put a hideous pause in the sampled riff.  Awful song.

Watching American Idol last night made me remember how ridiculous I find "Jesus, Take The Wheel."  I mean, the song is LITERALLY about Jesus coming down and steering a skidding car.

Also, I don't know the name of the song, but there's this song by Rascal Flatts about this girl who has cancer, and it goes into remission, and even though she's a cancer survivor, it's not until her boyfriend heroically shaves his head so his girlfriend won't be ostracized at the school dance for being the only bald freak there that the song gets a happy ending.  In terms of musicianship, it might not qualify as the worst song ever, but it is nonetheless a truly hideous song.

As a child of the early ninties, I feel I need to defend the Cardigans. Lovefool may not be the best song, but it certainly isn't the worst.
I do, however, fully agree with the Humps Song (as I call it) simply for the fact that when it gets stuck in my head I get the lyrics mixed up with the Thong Song and it becomes this hellish trainwreck of catastrophic proportions.

There was this song that they played every fifteen minutes (seriously, it was that frequent) at the strip club that I used to waitress at that went "heeeeeeeey, we want some puuussssssyyyyyyyy!" over and over. That one was pretty gawdawful too.
there, there my dear. Few corpses are worth tears.

Yeah, I watched American Idol too and wasn't all that impressed by any of the singers. The 17 year old girl has talent and should win. That bald dude should've of spared all of us and worn a cowboy hat. The judges were spot on with Sinjia when they said he sounded like a karaoke singer. Basically they all sucked though, their has to be better singers in our country than this?!

There's a hip-hop song about how hard it must have been to get in "dem jeans." What a lady charmer. :^)

Hip hop has the greatest lyrics. Ludacris' 'Ho' and Dre's 'Bitches Ain't Shit' are fucking hilarious (and deeply misogynistic) in spite of the fact that I have no ear for rap or hip-hop whatsoever and am pretty much incapable of enjoying it.

When Smokey Sings - ABC

I was a 13 year old paperboy when this turd was popular... all I had was a Walkman with a broken tape deck and this damn song was in constant rotation on the one station that had clear reception. I guess looking at it rationally, it's a harmless pop song from a band that was very good at making such fluff.... but I despise it to this day.

Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart, Sting - All For Love

Throw in Phil Collins and you would have had the Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse.
