Hm. I know a couple of those but they're not ones that get me excited about the game.

Yep, but they also announced that 1500 songs from the backlog will be ready! and that's way better than I ever hoped.

Oh, hey. More Van Halen.

Just a reminder- they did perform with Sammy Hagar. (Not holding my breath though since they're still a-feudin')

RB4 Cymbals are out this week too, mine are ordered.

I'm pretty meh over Van Halen in general, but I will probably pick these up.

I went and pulled the trigger on a XBONE last week. Got Rock Band 4.  My old 360 instruments work pretty well with the USB box that comes with the game.

Yeah I still haven't bought my XBONE. I was all set to do it, then someone asked to borrow $2K and I'm strapped for cash again.

And an expansion announced. (An expansion? For a computer game? How 1997-y!)

Rock Band Rivals-
Quote
The Rock Band Rivals expansion brings brand new features to Rock Bandâ„¢ 4. Perform your way through an epic rock documentary about your band in a new campaign mode, join Crews to prove your skill and crush your opponents through weekly online challenges, and get a free backstage pass to months of additional game updates, including Synchronous Online Multiplayer with your friends this holiday.

And preorders get 10 bonus songs, and unlike the RB4 preorder songs, these are not the "Stuff that the Harmonix studio cranked out" songs.
Bring Me The Horizon- "Happy Song"
Capital Cities- "Safe and Sound"
Eagle Eye Cherry - "Save Tonight"
The Neighbourhood- "Sweater Weather"
Of Monsters and Men -  "Little Talks"
Pharrel Williams - "Happy"
Sia - "Chandelier"
Skillet- "Feel Invincible"
Weezer- "King of the World"

(And Amazon gets this and a Maroon 5 and a Matchbox 20 song too.)

The downside? They don't seem to be selling a physical copy of the expansion without either a guitar or a full band set up.  Both XBL and PSN do offer the pre-order bonuses if you purchase through them though.

Coming this week:

Also this week, you get this character model in game.

The timing of this is purely coincidental.

I played drums for a long time and after I played rock band and I have to say its awesome. Now I give it away to my 5 years old son so he can enjoy it. that was one of the best game controller ever.
