Favorite 3 time riffed lines
« on: August 01, 2014, 09:08:04 PM »
Riffed a whopping three times, there is so much favorite line fodder from "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians", that I don't even know where to start. Except that I do, and they are:

(3) Rifftrax: The Alex Trebek funeral march.

(2) CinematicTitanic: "Santa's treating him like a toy"-let.

(1) MST3K: The "Let's have a Patrick Swayze Christmas" song.

Alright, so (1) wasn't an actual line, and (2) was just an addition to a line. But hell, it's Christmas, cut me a break.

So what are your favorite lines?
Oh bite me, it's fun!

I'll have to watch this one again to get a favorite line from it, and I've never seen the CT version.  But my favorite line in the MST3K version happens while Santa is talking to news casters in the NP and Joel riffs something, speaking as Santa, that all of the children of the world will get presents, except for the poor ones.

There's a lot really great lines in the original MST3K episode. I think my favorite is
"We're going to go out the old fashioned way" - Guns a-blazin'!

You may want to consider watching it. I think it's one of CT's best efforts. I don't know what your opinion is of CT, but if you enjoyed the MST3K and Rifftrax version, I'm pretty sure you would enjoy it.

I concur, the CT version is really good.

My feelings on CT is fairly mixed. I think all of the performers tends to clutter up the riffing a bit, makes it too busy, but I have three of their movies on DVD.   May look into the SvM effort.

Kids love Middle-Manager-in-a-Box.

A young Mulder and Scully.

Ulysses S. Grant was a Martian?!

"It'll wear off shortly." "Oh." - Well screw 'em then.

I love the bit where Kevin as Voldar is being interrupted by Billy talking about the airlock. I've always like it when they do those "can't get a word in edgewise" riffs.

And somewhere Clark Griswald's house lights up.
