I was trying to work with a good story. There would be no build-up or surprise twist if Clayton came back at the start of the episode. The only problem I think is the ending seems a bit more cliffhanger than a stand alone film.

It would probably work out better if the film they riff is public domain, but riffing THE GREEN SLIME could be fun since it was the test pilot.
