I learned that something will blow up if:
It is a car and it rolls down a slight incline.
It is a house and a few of its curtains catch on fire.
   It is a boat.
Oh bite me, it's fun!

Oh, and I learned that Cameron Mitchell employs about 300 guys to do nothing but stand at attention and run around when an alarm sounds.
Oh bite me, it's fun!

If you need to move a body in a bag in broad daylight, just throw a bit of lettuce on him and nobody will notice.

This guard really likes to stare at that guy's ear (at approx 1:07):

Quote
That no matter how bad this movie is, I am still grateful for the lack of protracted clichéd origin story taking up over a third of it.

Then again, we learn nothing more about this hero than "he's an alien who can do things" at least with "protracted origin stories" we learn some of the powers and limitations of a hero.

True, but we could have learned all that in less than a minute of dialog at the beginning of the movie (or the character describing it to someone) had the movie wanted to let us know. I think the idea was to keep us on the edge of our seat wondering what power was going to come out of his ass next.

Also, the scene where Supersonic Man is being tested in various ways by the villain reminds me of something. Didn't they do a VERY similar scene with Lex Luthor figuring out Superman's limits in Lois & Clark?

Lex does it to Superman in Donner's "Superman: The Movie" apparently Lex *really* planned ahead when he built his lair just off the Metropolis D-train line.

It's odd, I thought the same thing the two scenes are virtually identical.

I learned that The Puma Man was a richly nuanced movie as these things go.

I also learned what Spanish Leslie Neilsen did before he took to poaching in Pod People State Forest.

I learned that if you have a watch that gives you superpowers, don't bother using it when you're going to confront the bad guys in a warehouse.  Just sneak around in your normal mode.

I learned that sometimes, bars serve spaghetti.

I learned that "western music" causes riots.

I learned that when a superhero puts on his costume his mustache disappears, and when he changes back into street clothes it reappears.

I learned that if your father is kidnapped and you're run off the road by a pair of goons with a gun, the best thing to do is to get in a car with a random stranger.  Oh yeah, and don't bother asking his name until he's driven you around for about three hours.

I learned that a superhero with super powers has to rely on the evening news to tell him who he’s supposed to protect.

And I learned that breaking into a restaurant kitchen and stealing a bottle of champagne is a worthwhile use of a superhero’s powers.

I learned that they caught the cardboard steamroller, but not all the cardboard machine guns which are far funnier.

This movie had the all time worst special effects EVER.

The helicopter was something my dog could have done better.

And why did he keep putting his left arm behind him when flying?

yeah, his constant shifting of his arms was hilarious. It reminded me of somebody changing positions in bed because they can't go to sleep.
