Clancy died at Johns Hopkins Hospital after a brief illness, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Always enjoyed Clancy's books.

I read Rainbow Six and decided that Clancey wasn't really for me but I really enjoyed the movie adaptations of his books.  Was he one of the member's in Nathan Fillion's poker game in Castle?
