A lot of Hollywood stuff for sale if you are a crazy rich person.  Scripts, photos, handwritten letters by Marylin Monroe.  OK.  But then things get interesting... eventually:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Holy shit!  This stuff, while awesome, should be in a Hollywood museum, not in personal collections where only a very limited number of people will see them (if that, many collectors simply store stuff they've collected).

But there were a number that, if I'd had the money and the display space, I would have LOVED to have owned.

Thanks for this JU, I never would've seen this if not for you posting it! :)

Do you know what you could have been wearing while you were claiming these things should belong in a museum?  These things that are up for auction.

Yeah if I was going to buy anything up for auction it would be either a garment I could wear or a prop I could carry about with me.

Incidentally do we have a thread about board games? Saw something yesterday that would be cool for some people but it's a board game and the auction still has interesting things to discuss in it.

You think I wouldn't wear that helmet mounted Gremlin puppet in everyday life?

Oh no, that's exactly the sort of thing I was talking about.

I'd be worried about the red one constantly getting damaged.

Nah, he's got a rank braid, which makes him either an engineer (it's Scotty's rank) or a security chief.  And security chiefs only die if they're wearing gold.

I love it when a man talks Trek

Love them. Wish I could buy, the artist deserves the cash.
Their other stuff (the ornaments for example) are far more affordable. Will probably get the Befana ornament this year.

Might also contact them abot some custom work on statues for a couple of altars I want to put together.

For those enjoying Star Trek: Into Darkness, a 3' long Artisan Replica of the U.S.S. Vengeance (made by the company commissioned to produce the model of it and other ships that were sitting on Admiral Marcus' desk).
http://store.qmxonline.com/USS-Vengeance-Artisan-Replica_p_237.html
It is a measly $9,995!

Oh, and you can buy an awesome display stand for it if you wish:
(The acrylic shield and base are only $1,500 additional.)

EDIT:  Pic set here:
