1. Be it horarrgh? Nar
2. I bet ye a doubloon tis from afore 1980. Ye'd win that bet.
3. Would this movie be sailin' out to theatres 'fore 1960? Nay, me hearty, nay
4. A bottle of rum and me ole kercheif says it be of a science fictional bent. Nar, ye be driftin' far ashore.
5. Would it make me crew "har har har"? It just might tickle their funny crossbones.
6. With me trusty saber, I cut the difference in twain and ask if this fillum twere afore 1970? Aye, 'twas.
7. Was this moving picture-film created on the shores of the New World? Nay, though the booty was provided by colonials.
8. My sweet Polly asks, "BAH! MADE BEFORE 1965? MADE BEFORE 1965?" Aye, 'twas. Ye get a cracker, Polly.
9. I needs ta ask if this movie be set upon the high seas? Nar. Sadly, the film be landlocked.
10. Could it be this projected entertainment has relations of the animated sort? Nay, flesh and bone be they.
11. Were it in the language of King Charles himself? Aye, though foreign tongues be spoke a'well.
12. Be this film made by Disney, me hardy? Nary a squeaky rodent nor lispin' fowl had a hand in this here production.
13. Be this moving picture show be in the colors of the world or black as the night sky mixed with the white of the sea's salt? Colourful as sunrise on the Sargasso it be.
14. Did this picture-reel feature the image of former Master of Gunnery, Charlton Heston? Though it be hard to imagine a picture twouldn't benefit from ye olde Heston, alas he graces not this'n.
15. Be ye star of this moving picture a king among jesters that has since sailed to ye pearled shores of heaven? Aye he done shuffled off this mortal coil.
16. Be it Ye Panther of Pink, matey? Nar, felines frighten me dear Polly.
17. Be the Captain of this film be Stanley of the Kubricks? Nay, but ye've sailed closer to shore than ye realize with that query.
18. Were it made by a man not from the New World? Nar, he be born'n'raised in the colonies.

As fun as this is, I think the pirate-speak has made this harder than it should be, so I'll translate the more salient details. Here's what you know:
- not horror
- not science fiction
- comedy
- released between 1960-1964
- not filmed in the US, but was an American production
- not set on the high seas
- not animated
- primarily in English
- not made by Disney
- in color
- does not feature Charlton Heston
- the stars are dead
- not the Pink Panther
- not directed by Stanley Kubrick

A clever IMDb power search should yield your answer. I'll also tell you that comedy is not its primary genre.

20. (give or take) Woo hoo!

I was born in '81 myself, but I love Cary Grant and Hitchcock movies, and Charade is the best fake Hitchcock movie ever made. My Criterion DVD has been played many times. Charade's so much fun that when they remade it as The Truth About Charlie, they put the original on the DVD as a bonus feature.

It's your turn, now, NewJerseyMSTie. But no more pirate speak. I think Starfighter is the only one with the stamina for it.

Ok i am thinking of a movie!!

the special rules are that all questions must be phrased in EBONICS

for those who do not know  EBONICS  is basically "ghetto talk"

For example:  "Yo is dis movie  made before da 80s?"
or
"Yo  don't even tell me dis movie be tripping b4 1970?"

PLEASE NO RACIST REMARKS AND YES I  CAN MAKE THIS SPECIAL RULE CUZ I GREW UP IN DIRTY JERS   YA HEARD YO!!!

and dont bother using spell check lol
