Fantagraphics Co-Publisher Kim Thompson, who gave a home to some of the best indie comics creators of all time (Peter Bagge, Daniel Clowes, The Hernandez Brothers) died recently.  I will admit I wasn't familiar with him until today, but I'm familiar with his accomplishments.  It's quite the achievement.

Thompson was an unbelievably important figure in comics history. What a loss.
