23.   Quadrophenia
24.   Chicago

and a song
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/KqBhSl9uco0" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/KqBhSl9uco0</a>

And a song from Dancer in the Dark, a powerful one about a woman accepting her impending blindness.

Yeah, Compound did a stellar job on this long-awaited list.  Thanks a lot, man!  Lots of interesting, surprising and fun results and lots of films and plays I need to see.  Also, I am delighted how Once placed so high.  An amazing and absolutely touching musical that changes the usual Guy meets Girl story.  Also, when they came out and where Glen and Marketa were played off the stage and shortly after Jon Stewart brought them back out is definitely my favourite Oscar moment.

BTW, just to remind people, the vote for the next list is happening... now!  Songs from the 70's, Video Games of the 90's, Cover Songs, Fantasy Movies, Picnic foods... what will we see next?

Here's my list. I guess I'm one of the few that was just like "Meh" about the South Park movie, though I did include Book of Mormon on my list. I also skewed mostly with Broadway musicals. I did see "Once" on Broadway a few months back -- it translated super well to the stage. The Frames are my all time favorite band (Glen Hansard wrote me a wedding blessing note as I was getting married the day after I went to one of their concerts) and I was thrilled with the success of the movie and the Swell Season since then.

Matilda is fresh to Broadway, but it's gonna clean up at the Tonys. Just a delightful, awesome musical with music by Tim Minchin!

1.   Into the Woods
2.   Chess
3.   Hedwig and the Angry Inch
4.   West Side Story
5.   Evita
6.   Once

7.   Matilda: The Musical
8.   Sweeney Todd
9.   Little Shop of Horrors
10.   Avenue Q
11.   The Music Man
12.   Grease
13.   Les Miserables

14.   The Pirate Movie
15.   How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
16.   The Book of Mormon
17.   Sunday in the Park with George
18.   Next to Normal
19.   Jersey Boys
20.   The Full Monty
21.   The Phantom of the Opera
22.   Snoopy!
23.   Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory
24.   Follies
25.   Red, White and Blaine (from Waiting for Guffman)

I don't know what the exact rules were for musicals since I didn't take part in this, but why is The Book of Mormon not on this list?!

As for Across the Universe, even I don't like that movie and Bono's in it!

Speaking of, where's Spider Man: Turn Off the Dark? :P (I kid, I kid)

Probably because too few of us has seen it. I had it on my list, but to be honest, I've only seen excerpts of it.

Yeah, it's only on stage for now, though it looks like Matt and Trey have a new production company, with the plan to make it a movie!

Yeah, I guess I didn't think of that. I didn't know they were planning a movie!
