And Lembach, et al, I've seen angry joe's stuff and I have seen all of the Mass Effect ending hate, and I have to say, I can't agree with it. I wrote a whole dissertation below about my feelings on the ending... and I thought it was beautiful... I thought it was cinematic... and really good literature.
I did not notice the plot holes until they were pointed out to me, (probably because I was crying so hard...), but, again I say, petitioning BIOWARE to change the ending is like petitioning George R.R. Martin to change The Red Wedding. Listen, when I read The Red Wedding I threw the book across the room!
And that wasn't the first time. I swore I would never read another page of Martin's work when Ned Stark died! But, I kept picking it up until I finished.
Life is hard. Our games and literature should mirror that. I love Mass Effect, I love Shepard. It's not the ending I would have wanted, but... there it is. I didn't want my oldest and best friend Dan to die before me. But there it is.
I didn't want so many things to happen to me in my life, but... there it is....
And, I trust BIOWARE to do a great game in the future. I've been following them since Baldur's Gate...
