Oh cool, so 'Agents of SHIELD' is actually about agents of SHIELD.  I like that, makes the superheros more special if they're not in every ep.

I hope they don't get too far away from the superhero universe though.  That's what will make SHIELD unique.

I'm imagining a hybrid of Torchwood and Supernatural myself

I predict at least one of the main actresses is super skinny and cute as Hell. Joss has a type.

I guess it depends what you mean by young, I think his casting is always age appropriate

He also likes, really likes, feet, though I can't find the article that catalogues examples of that.

"We all love Clark Gregg, there's no doubt about that," Whedon said. "From before we made 'The Avengers,' we discussed whether there was a way for him to be a part of the Marvel Universe, perhaps a part of a TV show even after his death. … The fact of the matter is, as much as we love him, now that I'm really running Marvel, I like to keep a type of artistic integrity, which means we don't stretch the bounds of reality."

"There was never going to be a 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' show without Agent Phil Coulson!" said Feige, who appeared behind Whedon, wearing a COULSON LIVES shirt.

"He's headlining the S.H.I.E.L.D. show and always was." said Whedon.

Yeah!  ;D  And that - very happily - explains how a show about the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will get 'directions' without either Fury or Hill at the helm.  :)
