One of these days I'll stop being so late to the conversation. Oh well.
1. The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
2. The Big Lebowski (1998)
3. Pulp Fiction (1994)
4. Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) - I guess I can understand this one's ommission, but it's still too bad. Sure it's a trashy, gritty British gangster movie, but... no, wait, those are the pluses. Love this one.
5. The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
6. In The Mouth of Madness (1994) - Has Sutter Cane posted his list yet? Because I refuse to believe I'm the only one who picked this.
7. Dark City (1998) - No excuse here. George, you get a high five for putting it so high.
8. Goldeneye (1995) - No love for Best Bond? Ridiculous
9. Leon (1994)
10. Fight Club (1999)
11. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) - My favorite Gilliam, but considering his other output this decade, I guess I can see this one getting bypassed.
12. Se7en (1995)
13. Three Kings (1999) - Another one that needs more love (and American Beauty getting picked over this just makes me sad).
14. Fargo (1996)
15. Jurassic Park (1993)
16. Casino (1995) - Because I'm that one weirdo who likes this movie more than Goodfellas.
17. Dead Alive (1992) - This board needs more fans of Peter Jackson's earlier, better works.
18. The Fugitive (1993) - Come on people, this is Harrison Ford's last good movie. It needs the respect as such.
19. Event Horizon (1997) - I'm just gonna say I really love this movie and move on.
20. Tremors (1990)
21. Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) - I'm going to say this was passed because most everyone hasn't seen it.
22. Scream (1996)
23. Heat (1995) - I actually had to go back and double check that this one was omitted, because... really folks? Really? Cool as Ice over this?
24. The Matrix (1999)
25. Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995) - Admittedly put on because I totally spaced on Apollo 13 (heh) and Trainspotting.
Another good list down, one that spelled out the strange, occasionally mistaken movie sensibilities of this board. As all lists ultimately should.
Also, Quick Change really is a grossly underrated film. I realize I didn't put it on my list, but it still needs to be said.
