Now if Nintendo would just give away a Shaymin, I'd have every event-only Pokemon loaded on my Pokemon Black game. (Except the ones they haven't given out to anyone yet)

I'm actually pretty psyched. I found someone on the GTS offering a fair trade for something. I almost cried.

Hopefully it'll still be there tomorrow; the Pokemon I needed had to be traded up from gen III, which won't be completeable until I have access to another DS.

Yeah, it's tricky, but not impossible, to find good deals on GTS.

If you're looking for a pokemon and get nothing but unreasonable trades (Seriously, you can't even legitimately ACQUIRE a Level 1-10 Reshiram, people!) try searching by each of the level tiers. If you still fill up with trades, try searching each tier for males and females. There's usually one or two reasonable trades out there, but for some reason GTS only lets you see that first handful.

Failing that, if you make a reasonable offer yourself, you'll usually get the trade in a day or two.

Yeah, I actually was like, you know what? I've got a ton of Vulpix's that's I'm not using, I'll just throw one up and see what happens. I asked for a Zorua, and checked to see if the one I was PLANNING on was still there, and ended up with one because of that Vulpix.

The system works.
