...anyway...

One of the art directors for Toy Story 3 is doing a mashup where he puts the Toy Story cast into "The Shining." It's over here: http://kylelambert.co.uk/gallery/toyshining/index.html

The blood from the elevator image is great, BTW.

Very cool. I wanna see the whole animated movie now!

Completely nailed it with Lloyd.

Any reference to this scene (even with goofy looking characters) gives me the creeps.

2001: A Brick Odyssey

Quote
My name is Raul Oaida (from Romania) and this is my LEGO tribute to the end of the space shuttle era. Proving that although retired, this machine can still fly, albeit in toy form.

The launch took place from central Germany (easy flight clearance) and reached a max altitude of 35000m. A 1600g meteo balloon filled with helium was used alongside a GoPro Hero, Spot GPS and of course Lego Space Shuttle model 3367.

We launched it on the 31st of December 2011, the equipment was recovered via GPS tracking 240 km S-E from a remote area.

I wish to thank Steve Sammartino for the opportunity to do this project and the german airtraffic control for the understanding.

Banked it off the tree and everything!

I love that video, because it's a dog and it has a big, safe yard and giant ball to play with, and probably humans who love it and take care of it. That's all dogs really want. :)

Hobo Lobo of Hamelin has to be my new favorite thing on the Internet. It's a webcomic that's about as far removed from your typical webcomic as you can get. I'll post a sample of the artwork, just to give people an idea of the general style, but it really doesn't do the comic justice. I highly, HIGHLY encourage everybody to click the link and see the piece in action.

I know nothing other than it looks like a picture taken in the Pacific Northwest - but I could be completely wrong about that.

Pity, I'll post it on my photography blog, it would just be nice to have ctedits for it.

I'm thinking Northern Europe actually,  the trees are tall but they're also spindle-like. :)
