Shame it will be without Mako, but he did help develop the character to a point where I don't think it will be difficult for a talented voice actor to step into the role.

Fox Renews Wayward Pines

The summer series will return for Season 2.

Fox announced today that Wayward Pines has been renewed for a second season. The pickup comes after a strong showing over the summer for the limited series, where it ranked as the #1 broadcast drama among adults 18-49. 10 new episodes of the mystery drama have been ordered for a return in summer 2016.

Originally not planned for more than one season, Wayward Pines worked to fit the entire trilogy of novels from which it was based into its 10-episode run. Season 2 will be picking up after the events of the first season, with a new arrival to the town caught in the middle of a struggle over how to preserve the human race.

Chad Hodge, who originally developed Wayward Pines for television, will not be returning for Season 2. Taking over showrunning duties will be Mark Friedman.

Has there been any news about a Series 4 for Broadchurch?  I was just on itv but there isn't anything to indicate one.  Have any of UKers here seen or heard or read something about it?  I even tired Broadchurch's Wikipedia page and still nothing!  It's one of the few show I enjoy!  I'd just hate for it to end the way it did.

I'm so crushed that they cancelled the Soup.

Thats the only place I got my news about the latest developments in society around me.

If I were a paranoid type I might suspect that it was a little too skewering of the lowest denominator demographic, which is the seat and base of some peoples power.

Was there talk of Joel wanting to leave or his contract being up?  I could see that being a reason to just pull the plug on the show

It seemed like a network decision. It might have been for the sake of comedy but the talk on the show was always about "them cancelling us" and not moving on.
