And while we're bringing back awesome old cartoons, how about Danger Mouse and Inspector Gadget?

Powers was a great comicbook series, but I don't know how well it will translate.

Thought there was a thread or more of a post about Powers than this one, but FINALLY some news on it!  It's finally going to air! In March!

Oh... it's only on the Sony PSN. And it's free for Plus members.

(Promo video here)

Just noticed the first few episodes are up on PSN! Going to check it out tomorrow night

clarkson got the boot, and may appears to be in solidarity on twitter. it'll be disappoint to not have the oafs on teevee, but you can't go around hitting people (and generally being a douche) without facing consequences.

Yeah. The show without him wouldn't be as funny, but he's a colossal dick.  It seems that May & Hammond will also leave (voluntarily) since they said they were a package deal.  Thankfully the American version has become more entertaining once they got over the first season "Copy the UK version completely" format & the hosts got more comfortable with each other.

Inevitably he's going to resurface with a similar style show somewhere & make a ton of money I imagine.

did they? i'll have to give it another try, then.

i'm assuming they'll just show up on sky or itv or channel 4 as pinnacle cog or somesuch.

He had to go, but I have to admit frustration that the BBC isn't letting them cap off those last three episodes.  They were already filmed, except for studio segments.  I think Jeremy and the fans deserved to at least see this season finished out and one of the BBC's most popular shows, and one of the most popular shows in the world, get some type of send off.

Does anyone know if the Powers 'TV' series on PlayStation will be released on Blu-ray when the season ends?

I don't/can't play video games (when I did it was on the computer, e.g. half-Life) so don't have and won't buy any kind of console.  And I won't pay for a PlayStation console and then pay for PlayStation 'Plus' on top of it to see 10 episodes of the show, regardless how much I may want to see it.  Nor will I pay for 'digital only' video.

[Marginally interesting trivia: the character Calista is played by the pianist from High School Musical (RiffTrax #102). :)]
