Turds.  :P

k1, what's ESPN's Red Sox panic meter up to nowadays?

I don't know who these guys calling themselves the Phillies are this year, manufacturing runs with ground balls, what's up with that?  ;D

Marty, I'm super-stoked for our series early next week. It's too bad Zack or Corey can't partake in it, but nonetheless, it will be a fun early season litmus test for my squad.

And the Nyjer Morgan experience has been a hoot so far...Tony Plush FTW!  :D

Lets see, Halladay pitched last night, so if I'm counting right it looks like you guys will face the big 3: him, Lee, and Oswalt.   Hammels is looking good now also, that first start the wind was blowing him off the mound so that can be ignored, maybe this year he can get back to his '08 form.

Alas, you guys miss Gallardo.

It's just too bad Hart's not coming back until next Friday. Overall, our bats may be in dynamite-mode right now, but it would be nice to give Casey some protection against the Big 3.

Any word on when Utley's expected to come back?

Turds.  :P

Beats me. I watch NESN.  :D  Wouldn't they be on the "Yankee underdogs are overachieving" bandwagon anyway? They have a huge boner for A-Rod, Tex, & Jeter.

Last Friday morning, Kurkjian had a panic meter for you guys, and it was at 3 prior to the Fenway opener. It cracked me up. I'm sure it's rose since the losses on Monday & Tuesday.

 :D

I ended up getting played on last nights Whiner Line on WEEI last night.  "More days in worst place... More days in worst place... More days in worst place..."  (Play on the famous Dan Duquette quip about the Sox having spent "More days in first place")

Any word on when Utley's expected to come back?

They keep saying they have no timetable, he hasn't even started running yet, only fielding ground balls.  Everyone expects Valdez to be at second for a while.

Valdez has been doing OK, maybe a few plays missed that Utley would have made.   At least he's not hitting into a double play every chance he gets like he did last year.  ;D

Oh hell yes Coco...

...if his cap was perched on top, Oscar Gamble style, this would be flawless victory.

EDIT: I spoke too soon:

Ryan Franklin just blew his 4th save (out of 5 chances) today and now the Cards are 8-8.......should be 12-4.

How much longer is LaRussa gonna keep fucking away the season and putting his fucking loser ass out there.   Fuck, I could convert 1 out of 5 save chances.

That being said "Fuck you, Giants"

Wow, the commish needed to take over the Dodgers to stop the shit-head McCourts from running the them into the ground.   When it finally comes out how many hundreds of millions they have taken from their team for personal expenses (buying mansions just to have a place to do laundry, jobs for their no-account kids, cars, etc.), it will be interesting to see if MLB sues them to get the money back.

The league also wants to expand the playoffs & have a "Wild Card" round giving the division champs a break before they jump into the playoffs.  Can't wait for some World Series games in the snow!

Horrible idea

Yeah because extra time off for teams really works out well. Didn't the rockies have a ton of time to get ready for the sox in 2007?
