A little less nuanced a depiction of Bristol's Vampire and Werewolf  sub-cultures than you'd like?  ;)

I just don't like any of the characters.  It also feels pretty derivative of lots of other TV shows and movies.

BTW, season three was supposed to have started already but it's back to being listed as "pending".....

Anybody know when it's supposed to start?

If you believe wikipedia......

The third series will be filmed and set in Cardiff. Some filming took place in woodland in Cowbridge, near Cardiff, in July 2010. Series three will be broadcast in early 2011.[12]

Holy crap!  I can understand delays to work on the show but....how does it go from early July to some time after the first of the year?  Not the best time management skills on someone's part.

I often have that problem with modern TV shows (BSG, Lost), but I found myself liking all three of the leads in this one.  How can you not like George?

The werewolf guy? Too whiny.

That's part of what freshens this up a bit.  Lycanthropy and Vampirism doesn't always strike only the cool and good-looking...

The guy in American Werewolf in London was as whiny, as I recall.

Last date I heard was January 2011.

Tried to look on Google but even the thumbnails in the search results look like they've got spoilers in them.....

I knew that the guy playing Mitchell got a good (and long) gig filming the two Hobbit movies, so I was wondering how they were going to shoot around that.   Apparently the actor asked the creator to kill off his character, even so, I was a bit taken aback by them really killing him.   And I think this is a real, "he is gone forever" killing and he is not coming back.

Since he was my favorite character, I will be interested to see what they come up with for season 4.   It usually does not bode well to kill off your best character and the most charasmatic actor..... but time will tell

(yesterday in the US the finale ended, so I have been avoiding this thread lest our UK pals ruin the surprise)
