Whew. Just finished. Rather drained by the 16 hours of the movie. One (non-Rifftrax) complaint:

The sounds levels. Throughout the film, it went like this:
whisper, whisper, whisper. LOUD! LOUD! LOUD! whisper, whisper, whisper.

I had to keep adjusting the source audio to keep my eardrums intact.

I compress the ever-loving flying hell out of my audio for that exact reason.  It makes explosions and things like that a bit messy sounding, but if I wanted to hear these movies with GOOD audio, I would watch it without the riff.

My audio though, unfortunately, doesn't want to convert to an ac3 file currently.  I have about 18 ways around this problem, but I am not sure I have the mental awakeness to do this tonight.  Meh.  Maybe I WILL sleep tonite.

Got my Paypal issues all sorted out, so now the track is in my metaphorical hands. I think I will save it for my next night off of work, have a marathon of all three tracks.

Ha! ffMPEGgui says the files are too big! Stupid Peter Jackson. I haven't run into this before. That's funny. I guess I'll use GoldWave, I think I can save as an AC3.

I solve this by Auto Ducking all three Center, Left, and Right channels in Audacity.  Started this practice with all "action" oriented films since Matrix.  The Auto Duck process takes a little longer but it's worth it to not be BLOWN AWAY! :gouge:

I loaded it into Audacity and used ffmpeg to export as ac3.  worked like a charm.  Oddly, the linux version wouldn't recognise my ffmpeg library, so i loaded the windows version up and tada.

**sigh**  burning now.

Has Rifftrax really only been around for four years?  Holy crap.  On the other hand it feels like forever since TimmyBigHands.
How long did you think it had been around?  My reaction would be more like "Wow, RiffTrax has been around for awhile now, hasn't it!?"

And how in the huge heckfire have I never heard of Timmy Big Hands!??!?!  Out of all the side projects I've been familiar with (the radio show, The Film Crew, Kevin & Mike's books, Bill's theater work, etc.), how have I not heard of this!?!?!

Well, TimmyBigHands didn't have the promotional muscle of Legend Films behind it so I think a lot of people didn't hear of it.  I just wish I'd thought to save all the funny shit from it before the site went down. :(

As far as how long Rifftrax has been around, it feels like a really long time to me.  Maybe because the whole time I've been enjoying it I've been busier as hell.

Yep.  That'll do it.  I'm not sure what I've been doing for the past 4 years.  The banners in my sig tell me I made some iriffs tho.  That's gotta account for something.... I guess.

Someone saved some of the content from Timmy...

Sadly some of the pics are gone and you can't play the games (so no more appologizing to Steve) but you can read their review of Saliva. It was a great site, very weird and fun.

My first download of the ntsc riff didn't include the bonus track.  Then on a hunch I downloaded the pal version and there it was.  I added it at the end of the reauthor just after end of the riff.  Makes for a nice conclusion of this long movie I think.  Also I now have got this going through my head :

Ghan-buri-Ghan do-do-do-do,. do-do-do-do Ghan-buri-Ghan do-do-do-do do-do-do-do

                                                           and on and on...
And I'm worse than Hitler.

Did anyone happen to find a larger version of their rifftrax poster for this one? The only one I could find this time was rather small (450x600).

A reference to Robert Byrd, and then, less than a week after the release, he dies. Eerie timing.
